Wow. Where do I even start with this couple and this wedding? Too much awesome happened in one day! I’ll start by talking about what a cool couple Rachel & Brandon are. They love the outdoors, they love adventure, and they love life. I loved seeing them be happy together and enjoy life with their friends and family! A lot of Rachel’s friends that she met when she worked at some national parks came down from all over to see their friend get hitched. It truly was a special day full of community and joy! Rachel & Brandon’s first look was one of the sweetest I’ve ever seen. We dragged it out by having her walk down a long path, rustling leaves as she walked, just to keep the suspense bubbling for Brandon. He was so ready to see his beautiful bride! She also had a surprise gift for him of pennies representing prayers she’d said for her husband before she even met him. It was so special, and even I was crying. Now let’s talk about the ceremony. I only need to say two words: Princess. Bride. Rachel’s grandfather was the officiant for the ceremony, and without anyone knowing, he decided to dress up (It was Halloween weekend, after all) and recreate the wedding scene from The Princess Bride. PRICELESS. So much laughter and happiness and fun. My favorite thing about this wedding was that we would be laughing one minute and crying the next because of how special it was that Rachel’s own grandfather was marrying them. It was a ceremony I’ll never forget! And can we talk about how awesome sunset photos are?! I love it when couples make time for photos during their reception just before sunset. Scroll through the post to see what I’m talking about! The autumn colors were just perfect. Rachel & Brandon, I know you two are going to have so much fun together for the rest of your lives. Congratulations, and thank you for letting me share in your joy!
A special thank you to my assistant, Sarah Marko for helping me capture the beauty of this day!
