Finding the perfect location for your photo session can be a daunting task! Should you pick a place that’s sentimental to you? Should you choose somewhere with a mountain backdrop or a cityscape? There are so many choices! I love shooting at new locations, so when my couples suggest somewhere that is special to them it’s such a treat! But I also have several longtime favorites that I love shooting at! Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing my favorite spots for photo sessions. Today I’m starting with nature locations!
My couples love this location! We usually begin at the garden and then head over to the dock. There are so many unique spots here! The Clemson Walker Golf Course Dock and Lake is less than 5 minutes from the garden! The golden light we get in both of these spots is incredible!! Below are some blog posts where you can see more images from this spot!
This is a fun location located in Mauldin. There are boardwalks, bridges, and beauty all around!! If you like trails, and lots of green, you’ll love this spot!! Here is a full engagement session I shot there this summer: http://kingsbridgephoto.com/engagement-session-lake
Campbell’s Covered Bridge combines rustic charm and an outdoorsy feel all in one! This spot is usually pretty crowded in the fall on weekends, but most of the time it is relatively quiet! We can shoot at the bridge, on the rocks by the river, or in the field beside it. You’ll love it! Here is an engagement session I photographed there this fall: http://kingsbridgepho
I haven’t photographed a couple here yet, but I’m dying to! This is where I got engaged, and where Matt and I had our engagement photos taken! My dear friend Sarah Marko took these images of us a couple months before our wedding. The scenery here is truly beautiful. Some people lovingly call it “The Caribbean of the Upstate.” Clear water, Mountainscapes, and sand in your toes. I am itching to photograph a session here! Will it be you?!
Such a fun spot! The woods here are incredible. We get beautiful golden light here! There are also some ruins of an old mill, a restored post office, and a rushing river. It’s located between Greer and Simpsonville, so it’s a great spot if you are from either city! Here is a recent family session I photographed there: http://kingsbridgephoto.com/pelham-mill-park-family-session-brazeals/
Stay tuned for my next post about my favorite photo session locations: mountainous locations!
