"We meet no ordinary people in our lives."
Hey there, I'm Christi! One of my favorite aspects of my job is having the ability to share in the love and joy of two people as they come together as one. I am blessed to get to work with such wonderful couples and families! Based out of Greenville, SC, I have been shooting weddings for four years. My style is intimate and personal with rich colors and warm undertones. I'm married to Matt, a handsome computer programmer who occasionally comes to my shoots. I have a master's degree in Piano Performance and love performing and bringing people together through music. I'm a coffee lover, a swimming enthusiast, and a Christ follower. I'm a firm believer that friends and family are more important than anything in the world, and that's what drives my photography. I want to capture the laughs, the tears, the hugs, the kisses, and the memories that shape our lives and make our stories special. I'd love to meet you and get to know more about your story!
People often ask me, why do you call your business Kingsbridge Photography instead of using your name? I love when I get asked that, because it gives me an opportunity to share about something that is extremely important to me. Martin Luther once said, “The Christian shoemaker does his duty not by putting little crosses on the shoes, but by making good shoes, because God is interested in good craftsmanship.” I agree wholeheartedly. I believe that any time we do our jobs excellently we are fulfilling our God-given callings and bringing a part of the Kingdom of Heaven here to earth. Building a bridge, if you will. For you, that might look like making good shoes. For me, that looks like making my photography as excellent as I can, providing you with the best services I can offer, and creating beautiful images. I want my art to be a bridge from the culture to the Kingdom. And it doesn’t stop with photography. I want anything and everything I do to point other people to Christ the King and the Ultimate Craftsman.
Matt and I love relaxing at the lake. We love kayaking, hiking, and soaking up the sun. We can be pretty introverted sometimes (even though I'm naturally outgoing) so the lake gives us the perfect opportunity for uninterrupted serenity. Unless, of course, a storm happens upon us! Matt proposed at Lake Jocassee in between rain spells just as the sun was peering out of the clouds. Ask me about the full story sometime!
Matt and I actually met at a community choir! We both share a love for music, but mine is more outward than Matt's. I love performing, both on the piano and in choirs. My favorite genre to perform on the piano is French music from the 20th century. I love the colors and images conjured up by Debussy, Poulenc, and others. We don't just love classical music! We love discovering new music and trying new things.
I believe the reason I love music and wedding photography so much is that they are both community oriented! I love bringing people together, sharing stories, and connecting deeper than just small talk! We love strengthening our relationships with our families, church communities, neighbors, friends, and clients (who often become our friends)! We do this over coffee, cookouts, hiking trips, Bible studies, or community concerts.
